What To Expect

Day 1: Travel to Akagera National Park

After a relaxing breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, you will check out and transfer to Akagera National Park, home of the Big Five. Enjoy the scenic landscapes and hills of Rwanda during your journey.

On your game drive, watch for elephants, giraffes, and lions as you head to your lodge. Upon arrival, check in and have lunch before spending your afternoon at leisure enjoying the lodge’s amenities.
In the evening, embark on a night game drive for a chance to see nocturnal wildlife. After a thrilling experience, you will return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 2: Akagera National Park

Akagera is one of East Africa’s most scenic savannahs. After breakfast, you’ll receive your packed lunch and start the day with a morning boat cruise on Lake Ihema, where you can enjoy views of hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species. Next, visit the giraffe area in the south and travel along the lakeside road towards Birengero. Akagera National Park is home to elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and more. You’ll have a packed lunch at a picnic area before returning to your hotel or lodge to refresh, relax, and enjoy dinner.

Day 3: WIldlife Safari/Departure

Start your day with a relaxed breakfast and take your final drives around the park to see any missed sights. After checking out, drive back to Kigali, where you can do some last-minute souvenir shopping before heading to Kigali International Airport for your evening flight home.
